When a new member creates a profile, their password is sent to them via email, using the email address assosciated with the profile. This allows us control over who gets to post. For example, a former troublemaker (guess who I am referring to!) has been gone ever since we upgraded our posting software. We deleted his profile, so he had to re-create it. He had to enter an email address to get the password for the username. Then I stuck his email address in the "dont let these people register a profile" list. He's been gone ever since.

Perhaps we can make email addresses optional for Box Seat and VIP members. Then the same profile (username) can be used on the free pages.
