Ok, I'm using Mozilla if that helps.

Someone using Netscape suggested that I try removing the "save cookies for e-mail/newsgroups" setting in the cookie manager, and since Netscape is based on a Mozilla build I thought that would work for me, but I don't see a "save cookies for e-mail/newsgroups" setting anywhere in the cookie manager. Anyway, I'll let you know in a few days if things haven't improved.
