If you followed only the SSB hosts' picks at widely available 11/10 lines, you would have hit 52.3% - 52.5% across almost 5000 picks. You would have broken even on your wagers and you'd have paid subscription fees for that privelege. You'd probably have lost far less than if you'd bought picks from elsewhere, but you'd probably be down overall.

My recommendation, therefore, is not to subscribe if you're merely after picks to follow at widely available lines/prices.

I know some people who think it is a waste of time to play Jacks or Better, because it "only" returns .9954 on each dollar over the long run. Even perfect strategy results in an expected casino win! I think they're right -- if they don't intend to take advantage of promotions, get a player's card, collect cashback, and most importantly, become part of a community of advantage players who share tips and information, they should stay far away from the casino altogether.

Yes, some people can make money off videopoker and sportswagering, but if you aren't willing to make them profitable through your own efforts then you shouldn't even bother learning to play. I don't mean to sound like an ass -- I honestly believe gambling isn't for everyone. And if you're someone who is frustrated that winning isn't easier then it's possible that it's not for you.
