VALUE IN SSB...

In Response To: Is sports betting a waste of time? (Biff)

in the LEGITIMACY of the site which should appeal to almost any audience.

Both the PAID and FREE forums are good resources for all--probably unparalled in comparison to any other website.

The novice capper learns and is helped by discussions on risk (bet-size), methodolgoy, statistics, offshore books, etc..

Average cappers can share ideas on advantage plays and ask the many Hosts and or "Pro's" (who frequent the site) relevant questions (that they couldn't do anywhere else). Furthermore, advantage plays actually substantiated in the dicussions are not part of official SSB records!

The "Pro's" can get their fees for Hosting but also can benefit from discussion or potential advantage plays that others initiate. I'm sure even the "Pro's" are humble enough to continue to listen, learn, and better themselves in this forum.

Even the readers who only want PICKs can benefit from everything discussed above. (mcuh of it FREE too!).

All in all, I think the value of SSB is in the promotion of a "community" of posters/readers who share the common interest, goal, or even passion for winning in their sportsbetting pursuits...

And I don't think posting a complaint about the historical Hosted results (that are apparently insufficient for you) does anyone any good. I think you should take comfort in the fact that SSB maintains its SELF-IMPOSED obligation to report ACTUAL results (even with the constraining disciplince of WIDELY-AVAILABLE lines) despite the onslaught of short-sighted criticisms of poor performance, and in the face of your "alternatives" who are more than happy to promote their "unsubstatiated" records (ie. risk of SCAMMERS). Personally, I have confidence that hosted SSB records will improve given the nature of this site and what is stands for.

Stick with it--you won't be sorry.
