Add a "Private Message" feature for registered users

I am on a couple other boards that have this feature that lets you send a private message to other users. I think it could be very useful on a site like this, where some people may want to engage in private discussions without revealing their identity or contact information, or at least without posting contact information publicly rather than just to the party with whom they want to correspond.
