Why not just go ahead and require a password?

Has it had any detrimental effect on BJ21, that you've been able to measure? BTW, I think a surprising number of regular posters may not be aware of the function availability. If you don't require a password, you could at least notify people on the top of the page on General Forum, advising of the wisdom to do so.
