avg is 2.6 goals

over the last 10 seasons according to Kevin Pullein.
So you would think that betting at evens or better on the over 2.5 would make sense.but remember that the average is dragged upwards by freak high scoring games.Like portsmouth beating leeds 6-1 and man city beating bolton 6-2.
Is this what you meant? Or did you mean the number of games with 3 or more goals is over 50%?
I would doubt that most games have 3 or more goals scored in them.
I think the most interesting way to bet over/unders is spreadbetting.As it is known that most punters buy goals as 1.they watch the games they bet on and want a good game.
2. the more goals scored the more they make.
This is why spread firms set the buy price artificially high.
If you can indentify games where you believe will go under but believe the public will buy goals then this could be a good thing.Such as when the Arse or Manure are playing,people expect a lot of goals.
