interesting...i would've thought much lower odds

kinda doesn't make sense. the horse won both the derby and the preakness...as a guy who knows nothing about racing, this tells me that this is a DOMINANT horse, this is a stud....this is the next Secretariat, etc. It seems that 1.60-1 would have been a fantastic wager, at least to the untrained eye...which I assume would have been most of the public. Its as simple as betting the Lakers to win the NBA championship, isn't it?

Are you surprised to see that it was only 1.6-1? Or is that expected?

Does this mean that if War Emblem wins the Preakness, he'll likely by close to 1.6-1? If so, this makes it even better for betting the "No Triple Crown winner" than I had thought.
