Thanks, I agree with you about the bad hedge. Its possible I may be able to find some good hedges, but I doubt it.

I didn't overbet my bankroll, so that's not a problem
I thought (and still do) think I had positive expectancy before the race, so that's not a problem...but its important for me to try to think things through after the fact...so I learn for the future.
I doubt I will be able to bet War Emblem at anywhere close to fair, and although I'll be looking for options, I won't hedge with a negative expectancy.

Thanks for your encouragement. I've always had the idea that one learns the most when one loses or is losing. When one loses, one tends to think about the issues alot more and finds what one is doing wrong and finetunes it. Many times there's really nothing wrong, its just a matter of chance. When one wins, one tends to say "yep, I was right, let's move on". So I am taking this opportunity to learn as much as I can about racing. Thanks for all responses, even the sarcastic ones, it makes this forum fun and interesting!
