It certainly stands to reason- given all the factors presented- that the straight WPS pools would be more profitable than the exotic pools.
Thats NOT TO SAY that the exotic pools cant be beat. You guys can argue that- all you want. I just dont understand why one would want/look to bet ALL exotics.I did not mean to imply that WPS is more profitable than betting exactas. People bet exactas more blindly than they make win bets. While most people look at the win odds of a horse before they bet, very few people bother to look at what the exacta payoff will be. Because of this, the possibility exists for large overlays in the exacta pools, making those particular exacta bets very profitable.
Now, before Gary jumps in and says "That's exactly what I was talking about!", ;>), let me say that I think it is extremely unlikely that an overbet favorite will end up on the front end of an underbet exacta.
