I really like the fact that people on his board are hip that these match-ups are good ways to bet.

Why let the track take-out 18% on your hard earned dollars? Good luck finding many +EV bets in that scenario. I'll keep saying it. Anyone who splashes dozens of bets on a race with that kind of vigorish is going to get shredded. It's like a day trader claiming he can win betting into a bid/ask spread of something like 3/8 to 1/2.

But give us a prop with

Horse A: -130
Horse B: +110

Now, we have a whole new ballgame! Any good handicapper that can add just a little value will have a winning game here.
