First of all- I think they're doing a great job. The production value of the telecasts is really first rate.

Second of all- Vince Van Patten has to go. Did anyone else get tired of him saying, "But its suited"?

Now as far as the specific telecast last night:

1. Hellmuth was really well behaved. If you dont know of him- or havent seen him 'in the flesh' before- ask anyone who has- and they im sure they will tell you that they were proud of the way he acted during the taping.

2. They dont show every hand that was played at the final table- so its real hard to get a read on exactly what may/may not be going through these guys' minds. Something might have happened- earlier in the tournament- in a past tournament- or at the final table- that you dont know about- that affects their decisions. This isnt rote. Past confrontations matter- and those past confrontations could have occurred years ago between some of these guys.

3. I saw Phil get out of line ONCE- with the K5. Once and thats it. Didnt see him do anything else- that couldnt at least be considered reasonable. He attacked and ran into some hands- and a guy on his left- who was willing to gamble with him.

4. Phil's a cartoon for sure- like Dreamer said- but if he acts like he did during the telecast last night- hes great for poker. You gotta have a villain- and hes the guy- as long as he doesnt go overboard- and he didnt last night.
