Go read the Lee Jones book, learn to play exactly as described in that book and then play low limit games online.
If you play tight then multiple tables should be no problem as you won`t be playing many hands, especially up front.
I think 100 hours of play at low limit online with 3 tables is a significant amount of time to judge if you are a winning player.
(most software will tell you the percentage of hands you have been playing)
His book is good for full 9 or 10 person tables but you need other skills to play shorthanded 5 or 6 person tables.
Learn to play a patient tight game at 9 person tables before anything else.

(1) Do not try to run before you can walk.

Before reading any advanced books you will need at least 100 hours of playing experience for you to extract the most value.
