I wouldn't have tried a check raise on the river because of the complexion of the board. Whenever you have cards flopped in a straight there is always a great chance you are against two pair since people routinely play 4,5 or 5,6 etc.

I agree with your bet..if he has the flush you re-raise him but with a paired board the boat is possible (see above)

I like Tekari's raise on the flop for a few reasons...

You can't give a single club a cheap draw at a fourth one, especially when holding a straight without a high club yourself.

He also gained information...from your call he can be pretty sure he's not against a flush and this is even more evident on the turn when you just called his raise again. He's then got to put you on a flush draw, small straight, straight draw or two pair.

When the heart came on the river he threw out the flush...If you had the straight from the beginning you probably would have raised sometime before...therefore you missed your striaght when a second six came on the river...

The only thing left is two pair and with the board paired if he raises on the river chances are he's only getting reraised if he is beat. It's one of those situations where betting or raising is not correct because only people with a better hand are going to call or raise you, therefore you gain nothing.

Your raise pre-flop? High cards or pairs....After the turn it became more likely of you holding a pair or an Ace High, King High flush draw...
