Its way too easy to do it. But its VERY difficult to do it correctly.
Sklansky's written a bunch on this subject- and i think the conclusion in a lot of cases has been- that its very difficult to collude correctly.

But yes- it has to be a concern. I wrote EXTENSIVELY on this at 2+2 when i first started playing online. I have always maintained this:

As long as im winning online- although i continue to keep my eyes open- im not gravely concerned about it.

Maybe im making (hypothetical #s) $8/hr and should be making $12/hr but there are people colluding? Well- i simply dont know.

All i can do- is accept that im making $8/hr. And if thats satisfactory to me- then keep playing. IMO- not much else you can do.

Its simply another factor which affects your earn.

The example i always give was- back in the day- when there used to be smoking. It would cut into my earn when i sat next to a smoker. Ridicule me if you must (i know its hard to quantify- but its just an example)- but the point is- there are plenty of things that make your earn increase- from playing on-line. There are different factors that increase or decrease your earn playing live- or B&M that are VERY hard to quantify. Are people colluding? Perhaps. Are people colluding B&M? Perhaps. Point is- im making 'x' an hr regardless- and while im always watchful- simply cant ever KNOW for sure- and have to move forward.

So the short answer. Yes its a concern. No it doesnt stop me from playing and earning- if it is happening.
