There were some prominent players at Paradise who complained about a similar situation. They would be sitting waiting at a heads up table and then some unknown would sit down and start dumping $$ to them on purpose. Paradise responded by banning all players involved.

The thing is, this type of behaviour does hurt someone: the site itself. Almost certainly the dumper did a chargeback on his credit card and lost nothing, while at the time time he got rid of a winning player from the site, which helps him if he plays there under a different name.

The site overreacted by banning the "dumpee", but in some ways it's understandable they would err on the side of caution since they are hugely exposed to scammers in this way. One buddy charges a nickle to his card, dumps to his other buddy, and they are $500 richer after the chargeback. Sportsbooks have a similar problem - see the recent problem Carib had in the Offshore Books forum.
