"I found myself after losing a couple big hands wanting to play in higher limits to get some of it back. I also have a problem with turning to short-handed games to try and show some quicker profit."
You've already overcome the one thing i see most people not being able to do- and thats being honest with themselves. Of course- its not good enough to just know the problem. Sometimes- its much harder to control yourself- even if you know you're doing something wrong. But most people- dont even get past that first step :).
"My question for you guys is when you talk about some of the higher limits, are you talking mostly short-handed games that you played in? D and onepac do you guys consider short-handed your best play? Is this what most of the highest levels are online?"
Ill let onepac answer for himself- but we're quite different.
I play almost exlusively heads up and shorthanded. Ive played up to 150-300 online- but only once or twice. I played basically 50-100 and 75-150 at WSEX for months- before the action died out (mostly heads up).I wouldnt say that most of the highest levels online are typically short- but you certainly can find those games- if you look hard enough. Its harder for me- because i play very little hold em- and play mostly omaha hi lo- which has a much smaller player pool to draw from.
