I didn't know if you had won that one or not. Glad you did.

I don't follow soccer much, but because of my kids' participation in the sport, and my coaching, I have been much more interested in the World Cup. Can't bring myself to bet it, so I'm living vicariously through your picks. And agonizing almost as much as if I had my own money on them.

Man, some of the officiating has seen some very questionable calls. What a major impact on the game. A guy may blow a call in a basketball game, but it's one call out of hundreds, and you still have to win four games. But when in some games there is only one, or none, goals scored, one big penalty call (or lack of), and the game is essentially over.
