Host Country records?

Interesting article.

Are money-line logs available for past World Cups?

I'm interested in seeing how one would do always wagering on host teams. This year they'll be at least six opportunities for such a wager with the dual Korean/Japanese hosts.

From my vague memory here are some recent results:

1998: France 7-0. Would have been big favorites in some matches, but probably underdogs in the final versus Brazil.

1994: USA 1-2-1. Likely big underdogs in all four contests.

1990: Italy 5-1 (lost in the seminfinals)

1986: Mexico, couldn't guess their record but I believe they made the quarterfinals.
