Recollections from the last fight

Cabbie and Angry Black fought a schedule five-rounder. They were two-minute rounds, I think (although they could have been 3-minute rounds). There were three legitimate albeit "celebrity" judges, I think. I keep wanting to say Ray Mancini was one of the judges, but I may be confusing him with someone else of his "era".
I'm pretty sure they'll be wearing headgear and heavy gloves.
Cabbie was pretty out of shape in his last fight, but he still went the distance. The fight was judged to be a draw, but Cabbie did have a point deducted for a low blow.
Since that fight, he's lost over 50 pounds as an endorser for TrimSpa (whatever that is). On the radio, they say he looks like he's in really good shape. Both he and John have legitimate trainers. I think John's is an international kickboxing champion (more than once), a former boxer undefeated in a short boxing career before he went onto kickboxing. John's trainer said in the studio that John is ready. I don't remember who Cabbie's trainer is (and he didn't show for a "face-off" in the studio last week), but his credentials were also legit, as I recall.
This whole thing started because John mouthed off to Cabbie at the end of Cabbie's last fight. Cabbie has been in John's face since then, wanting to take him on. John only agreed if he could be guaranteed $100,000 just for showing up, so my thinking is that John has no real incentive to take a pounding: the money's already his. Cabbie, on the other hand, is honestly angry, and has been champing at the bit to kick John's a**, even to the point of wanting to take him on right in the studio. I think Cabbie's felt like he's had to prove himself his entire life. He was abandoned by his parents as a child. Howard has made an effort to locate his parents, to no avail. So, yes, Cabbie does have issues. Think "Mike Tyson" with a little more eloquence. Cabbie, by the way, would be willing to fight for free. He is still signifcantly larger than John.
The "Flunkie and the Junkie in the Brawl at the Taj Mahal" sold out in about five minutes. 2500 seats at $150(?) a ticket. Donald Trump is a friend and frequent guest of Howard's and has bent over backwards so Howard could have the fight in Atlantic City.
