Concentrate on making good bets and don't overbet and the money will come.

The minute the focus changes it will become like a blackjack tournament where your goal then becomes to beat the other guy and one might accidently abandon those actions that caused him/her to win in pursuit of winning the "tournament".

I win overall and I don't care how much more somebody else might win. This is probably the must humble attitude to have and is probably essential for winning or being generally successful in life.

The only time you might be wrong is when sports betting becomes a tournament. If books only take action on one side all week then I don't want necessarily want to be on that side at the end of the week with the closing number. Why? because the book could have trouble paying if everybody wins. On the other hand if I lose betting a great number on the opposite side the book losses also and I can't get stiffed if I already lost it legitimately. This argument will not apply to supersolid books or nevada based sports books. If by chance I am on the side that everyone else is on I hope I got it early and I hope I got a better number because in terms of game theory and getting paid sports betting does take on tournament strategy.
