are you making the correct bet?

In Response To: under/over (Math Boy)

correct me if i am wrong, but you are suggesting that totals tend to go under in the first 10 days of the year...while also saying that salamis go over versus the sum of the totals more often than not.

it would seem to me that if you bet the under in the salamis that your two theories may cancel itself off, thus the edge in the under bet is reduced when you do it in the salamis. of course you may also be looking at other factors (math wise or anglewise) that you have not stated...but on the face of what you have posted, betting the under in the salamis makes no sense. what does make sense would be not betting anything at all or betting the unders in the individual games.
