In Response To: Disagree completely. (Warren Ball)

"Even if Pittman can't play (and he may), there are plenty of very good running backs in Tampa. FB Alstott is an All-Pro. Backups like Stecker are very underrated and the Bucs just got a steal in a trade for a RB from Arizona. They are solid and deep at RB."

That's too optimistic. Just because you have alot of RBs doesn't mean they are good. You can be deep and still suck.

Alstott is not a Fullback, we all know that. The fact he makes it in as a Pro Bowl Fullback is a total joke. So let's throw the Pro Bowl appearances out the window, it is meaningless for him. With all that said, Alstott is a decent back that fumbles too much, and has a weak Yards/Carry. 3.8, 4.1, 3.5, 3.9, 3.9, 3.8, 3.9 in his career...nothing special. There were 12 Running backs in the NFC alone that had more than 200 carries last year that outrushed Alstott on a Yds/Carry. Bennett, Barber, Hearst, Faulk, Stewart, Green, McAllister, Dunn, Alexander, Davis, Emmitt (for god sakes), Staley, then Alstott.

Guess where Thomas Jones ranks there? RIGHT BEHIND ALSTOTT at 3.7. And where's Pittman, if he can play? EVEN WORSE!!!! 3.5.

Let's face it. These RBs maybe ok, but if you combine them with the offensive line (and that really is the question, the whole running game, not necessarily each back individually)...they are one of the worst in the league.

Can they improve on that? Sure they can, but I would not call them anything better than subpar running attack.
