WHO considers McKay to be the best contract & salary guy in the league?? There are 3 head & shoulders above the rest: Miami, NY Jets & the 3rd guy I forgot. I know of no one who considers McKay with those top 3, much less the best.

A football family helped but he still got his job solely because of his dad and nothing he did on his own. President Bush came from a political family and won a governorship before winning the Presidency.

I agree the hiring of Dungy was right, even though he was McKay's 4th choice, the 1st 3 having turned down the job. My point there was that if Dungy was indeed to blame for Tampa's failures, then McKay was also to blame as he hired Dungy.

Frankly, I think Dungy did a great job and should not have been fired. McKay was to blame for Tampa's failures and he should've been let go a couple of years ago. He got credit for Dungy's successes & Dungy took the blame for McKay's failures.

Luckily, Gruden runs the show now and McKay is pretty much out of the loop. He only negotiates the contracts. With McKay out of the way we were able to win a Super Bowl and now stand a great chance of repeating.
