I really wanted to take Golden State tonight. You know the ubiquitous New Yorker cover, the one showing a Manhattan resident's perception of the world? I figured the Mavs' view of their schedule had the Lakers starting in the foreground and stretching almost to the horizon, with the Warriors a tiny speck at the edge of the world. Of course, Dallas had to lose, badly, and the Warriors have major injury and suspension problems and could be truly dreadful. Got to know when to pass.
