If they were in the Atlantic Conference, things might be different. Their major competition in the Central Conference looks like New Orleans. If they do better than NO, they get a 2. If they do worse than NO, they risk falling to a 4-5. There is a lot of uncertainty here though. Wasn't Carlisle in Indiana under Bird? Doesn't he have a reputation for not getting along with players? So he has some relationships with existing players that may or may not be good. There may be some risk there. (Just AIM'ed a friend in Indy who says he heard some of the players don't like him. And that he did a lot of the coaching work for Bird his last season.)

O48.5 looks like a decent bet because of the competition. U50 might be good for a middle depending on the vig. Glancing at the odds at Pinnacle, U33 on Atlanta looks decent. They have a culture of losing, everyone sucks, a how did they win 35 last year? (On second though, that looks like the way a square would think.) O34 on Memphis looks great. I trust Jerry West immensely, and the coach knows his stuff from what I can tell. A different team ended the season than started the season least year. Their first 14 wins had 36 losses attached. Their second 14 wins had 18 losses attached. This isn't from power ratings or anything scientific, just a guy that watches and attends too many NBA games for his health.
