Covering my backside

I will be thrilled if the four teams I listed are the AL playoff teams. Because I currently hold futures that will pay roughly

Seattle wins WS = 26 units
Cleveland wins AL = 11 units
Oakland wins AL = 11.5 units

(oh, yeah, I've got Twins futures, too. Any bids?)

Obviously, with 3 of the 4 playoff teams covered, I will be in VERY good shape. But my "unit" here is big enough (to me) that I do NOT want to come up empty if the Yankees win the pennant, and I will be betting against the Mariners in the World Series if they win the AL.

What is likely to be the most economical way to hedge against YANP (Yet Another Yankee Pennant)?

1. Buy NYY futures now at 2-1
2. Buy NYY futures after season, but before playoffs start
3. Wait it out and pray for Oakland to take out NYY in division series, then make ALCS bet on NYY if that fails.
4. Something else.

I don't want to fully hedge, but I would really like to have at least some profit to show for my investments, even if I was way too late jumping on the Fezzik-led Mariners bandwagon.
