In Response To: Effect is a little bigger than I expected (Colin Caster)

I actually ran 100k samples for this sim; even 1M wouldn't take more than 2 minutes.

The DBacks, Dodgers, and Giants each have about 40% of their remaining games against each other (11-13 out of 30-31 games) so I think it's not real surprising that the effect is somewhat visible.

Of course, after a few more nights like tonight, the Dodgers and Giants will just be fighting the Cubs and Phillies for the wildcard spot. They probably are already.
