Its a bit esoteric but you might want to do it...
try a betting exchange like betfair.com. This is P2P betting, sort of like a gambling equivalent of Napster. You can post any bet yourself or take up someone else's. The website just acts as a middleman and takes 5% of winnings (maybe as low as 2% for high-rollers).Most of these sites are orientated towards British sports and accept pounds sterling which may make things difficult for you, even though I'm sure many ex-pat chicagoans will want to take you up on your bet. There are sites like feverpitchexchange.com which accept dollars but they all seem undersubscribed and unprofessional.
If bets on baseball are not posted the exchanges will usually be happy to set up a section for you.
