In Response To: How do DBacks match up against AL? (James)

I think Arizona would be in big trouble against the AL (assuming a four man rotation). I now have Cleveland -132 over the Diamondbacks in the Series, and obviously, that would be Arizona's easiest opponent.

Although Johnson and Schilling would be favored at home in Games 1 & 2 against any AL opponent, it would not be by all that much, given the strength at the top of each AL rotation (or in Seattle's case, its offense). Meanwhile, Games 3 & 4 will be disasters for Arizona. I agree with docriver (in his post in the thread above); the drop-off is stunning. Batista at Mulder or Pettitte or Seattle? Yow! And then who? Anderson? Witt?

What do you think, James?
