I will try to answer 2 of John Mays concerns. The first is Will the market adjust? You mentioned that the prior record was obtained by "private clients" and that he is now going public. This private nature of the service could explain why the market was not seriously affected. But with going public now, anybody can subscribe to the service including someone from a place like Las Vegas Sports Consultants. If they believe he is good the line will adjust because if it doesn't, Gorden's clients will win money from LVSC clients while producing nothing in return. There will be more action on Gordon's picks so to balance the books of LVSC clients, the LVSC line must move against the Gordon pick.
Here is how a dishonest tout usually works. Buy my picks. My picks MUST WIN or I will give you a complete refund of the money you paid ME plus a free pick next week. Any money you lost to bookies betting my picks will NOT be refunded. An honest tout will be willing to not only refund your purchase price, which you never earned anyway if you pick below 52.4%, but also refund the4 money you lost betting his picks. A minimum bet per pick must be assumed to cover the tout fee. In Gorden's case I believe he wants $1,250 for the season which he claims is about 80-100 bets. Let us assume 100. They you are paying $12.50 per pick. The minimum bet level the honest tout would be willing to refund would be the bet required to cover this extra expense. In this case it would be around $100-150. The client can now bet more than this amount and be guaranteed a profit if the tout does what he claims he will. The important point is that the tout is willing to put his OWN MONEY at risk on his own picks.
