In Response To: What makes Stanford Wong an authority on football wagering? (Colin Caster)

...his credentials as an authority on the maths of sports betting. A direct comparison might be made with Peter Griffin's "Theory Of Blackjack". Griffin could not beat the game yet explained the fundamental workings of the game in a manner which those more gifted at the practical application of his methods benefitted from. I believe "Sharp Sports Betting" will have the same impact-its chief value is that it explains the fundamentals of sports betting itself and allows the reader to deconstruct the system. It is certainly the best treatment on US sports betting I have seen (though that might be damning with faint praise).

Wong may well have made money personally from sports betting but we have not seen the evidence yet.
