Virtually all attainable

When Dan releases a pick, he releases a minimum or maximum number required for the bet to be made. And he tells you to either bet early or to hold out until late in the week.

With very few exceptions, his lines are available to anyone who shops diligently, as is required for any successful bettor.

The game-by-game analysis of 1996 is available in Dan's book. From 1997-2000, I personally received every release of Dan's in private e-mail, before the games were played. Virtually all of the lines looked "normal" to me, and were not unavailable to the diligent bettor. The rare exceptions would not, in my opinion, have pulled his record down to anything near 54%.

In fact, getting superior lines on a few games is no guarantee at all that Dan even had a winning record in those rare instances. Being able to bet, where someone else couldn't, may have hurt him, and probably did on several occasions! Everyone gets +3; you find +3.5. So, you're counting your money? You can't lose that game? Often, the last laugh is on the bettor.
