My great claim to fame was that I once beat Bob Beamon in a 60-yard dash at the 168th Street Armory, in NYC, in 1966, I think.

Hey, that's a great tidbit, and I'm definitely both envious and curious. Was this a match race?!

Would love to have something like that in MY resume.

P.S. Well, I did beat a guy at ping pong who had beaten Cazzie Russell in a game of 21 (the hoops version). I know, I know, that's hardly beamonesque.
