The Baseball W/L vs. Runs gotten/given was an awesome example.

Sam0666 also brought up a great point that on individual games, key number are going to skew results. Bet enough baseball game under 7.5, for example, and you are going to get your ass kicked on aggregate runs vs. the 7.5 average, even if each bet is a good bet for example.

But, personally I do find overall point differentials in results to be a great future predictor of results. Bet any one FSU -17 vs. NC........no big deal. But when these games start stacking over and over (like Bal -7 when they lose 21-10), or UCLA over 50.......... RED FLAG.
