In Response To: Possible Explanation of Dan Gordon's 57% Record Guessing (Bob Fisher)

I can remember reading Dan Gordon's columns in the L.A. Herald Examiner sometime around the late 80's/early 90's. During that time he had one losing year and one winning year. He could easily have "forgotten" his losing year, but in his book, he admitted this losing year.

In particular, I remember him picking the Bears over the Eagles in the infamous "fog bowl" game in Soldier Field. The Bears won (and covered), but in the next week's column, he didn't gloat over his victory. He freely admitted that he was lucky that the Bears covered.

I don't blame you for being skeptical. There are many charlatans in the handicapping business. But Dan Gordon isn't one of them!
