In Response To: Possible Explanation of Dan Gordon's 57% Record Guessing (Bob Fisher)

I watched Don S. get sucked into several fruitless conversations with skeptics about Dan Gordon. This is the only message I am going to post on this subject.

1) Dan Gordon has not worked in / for the media in some time.
2) He regularly succeeds at a rate + or - 3% from 60% in the NBA.
3) Last year he ran at 63% in the NBA for months and never commented in the media so that he could use your conspiracy theory of betting the opposite way.
4) When you say that no one in blackjack ever heard of him, you missed the boat again! People who know him and happen to read your post will get a real chuckle at your comment; a very well known blackjack book was authored by Gordon under another name.
5) I find it convenient to live in the LV area to be a professional gambler, but surely you must realize that sports betting is global.

Bob, think a little larger. Consider your own abilities, had you focused on sports betting for the last 20 years where would you be? There is little doubt, in my mind, that there are many people capable of becoming good handicappers. I find absolutely nothing astounding about someone with 20 years experience, smarts and "people savvy" hitting 57%. Most people are not going to succeed at handicapping for the same reason they don't succeed at anything else.
