I've read just about every book Wong has ever written, and will probably buy SSB the next time I go to GBC. Touts have a reputation of being charlatans, hence my wariness.

I respect Donald Schlesinger for all the work he's done in helping others ( for no renumeration a great deal of the time ) in their gaming pursuits, but I believe that some times he gets ahead of himself in terms of both his enthusiasms and his criticism's.

If I'm not mistaken, he once backed, or had some kind of buisness relationship with Gerry Patterson, who has turned out to be one of the biggest charlatans the gaming industry has ever seen. My suspicians, hence, have some " legs ," as even though DS's relationship with G.P. may have been just a completely forgivable error in judgement, it is, nonetheless, the judgements of others that we depend on to direct us toward the truth--and not some ruinous lie--in areas we are not expert in.

Having said that, I'm going to be following Gordon's picks with the hope he's successful, so that maybe in the future I can get in on the action, AND NOT with the hope that he fails so as to confirm any suspicians ( as you put it ) that I might have. You see, unlike you, I'm not cynical or suspicious by nature, and hence, I continue to retain an open mind with regards to all people, despite their past indiscretions.
