Suggestion: List those 391 picks

I know 219 for 391 = 56%. I know I believe every syllable of his 1996 record (50-30), documented in his book. That brings us to the 269-202 = 57.1% I've been quoting.

I think most of us are willing to agree that Dan emailed you the details of 391 bets he made these past four years, and he did so before the games were played. What we do not know is how much good 391 picks would have done for you, had you chosen to bet on them yourself. We'd be much happier with the W-L results you report for Dan Gordon had you bet on all those 391 picks yourself, and gone 219-172 on your bets. But you apparently did not bet those picks yourself, and did not even price them out, so you have no idea how they would have done against spreads available at the time you received the picks. If you were to post the teams and dates of those 391 bets, then anyone who has the inclination and a data base of past games could go through them game by game and estimate his W-L record.

That would go a long way toward resolving the suspicions that arise due to Dan describing his 1996 season in his 2001 book, instead of describing any of the four seasons that were played after 1996 but before the book was published.

We trust your honesty. And we trust Dan Gordon's honesty. But we all can see a few loopholes that would allow honest people to honestly report a misleading W-L record, when a list of bets Dan made early in the week is submitted to you late in the week and you made no effort to find out what lines were available after receiving the information from Dan.
