Interest is WAY up

In Response To: how is the level of interest in Arena? (Rick Peterman)

This is the third year in a row it is being televised on NBC. AFL's marketing is doing a phenomenal job with all the connections they are making. This year, Fox Sports is broadcasting regional games, and AFLnet is picking up another 20 games online, with a quality broadcast (although it is slightly delayed).

From a gambler's point of view, I expect Arena to remain a "niche" sport for another 2-3 years. After that, the lines and opportunities will diminish, to where they are comparable to NFL/NBA. Still plenty beatable, but not the golden goose of old.
