Arena Football
Arena Football as a betting sport

I don't know much about Arena Football. But here's my opinion anyway.
Its not the NFL or College Football. Its not even close. I'm not talking about the volume, I'm talking about the betting aspect of it from an informed bettor's point of view. What Arena compares to is basketball and baseball.
In order to beat basketball, baseball and Arena, it takes a good handicapper. The skills may be a bit different in each sport, but the bottomline is that there is no way to win unless you can handicap well.
On the other hand, in NFL, and a lesser extent, CFB, a person who has zero handicapping skills can still win large. This is due to the fact that a half point can mean a lot in NFL, but not in the other sports, and not in Arena either. To phrase it even simpler, there are no key numbers in Arena, NBA, CBB, etc, like there is in the NFL.
So for the Sharp Sports Bettor who does not handicap, Arena is a non-issue. Even if it became wildly popular, it won't be like the NFL in terms of non-handicapping money making aspects.
What do you guys think?
